Community Foundation Awards $52,000 in Grants

Community Foundation DeKalb County is excited to announce its most recent Community Grantmaking recipients. The grants funded demonstrate the Community Foundation’s commitment to nonprofits that provide substantial benefits for the county and its residents. A total of $52,000 was granted to nine organizations.

Grants Awarded:

  • The Nature Conservancy – $5,000 for Douglas Woods Nature Preserve Maintenance
  • Community Harvest Food Bank of Northeast Indiana, Inc. – $7,000 for DeKalb County Farm Wagon Mobile Food Pantry 2026-2027
  • Garrett-Keyser-Butler Community School District – $7,500 for GKB School-Based Family Liaison Program
  • American Red Cross of Northeast Indiana – $7,500 for Programmatic Support for Red Cross Services in DeKalb County
  • Erin’s House for Grieving Children, Inc. – $5,000 for 2026 Grief Support Services for Residents of DeKalb County
  • Judy A. Morrill Recreation Center – $5,000 for JAM Connect 2026-27
  • DeKalb County Eastern Community School District – $5,000 for Junior High College & Careers – Exploration Modules
  • Ronald McDonald House Charities of Northeast Indiana – $5,000 for Ronald McDonald House Programs for DeKalb County Residents 2026-2027
  • Cancer Services of Northeast Indiana – $5,000 for 2026 Client Advocate Program for DeKalb County Residents
