Kaitlin Sheets

Kaitlin Sheets is a graduate of Fremont High School and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Healthcare Leadership from Valparaiso University, with minors in Business and Psychology. She joined the Community Foundation of DeKalb County as the Administrative Services Coordinator, bringing several years of nonprofit leadership and administrative experience to the organization.

Prior to joining the Foundation, Kaitlin served in various roles at the YMCA of Steuben County, most recently as Director of Business Services. In that capacity, she oversaw office operations, in-house bookkeeping, and human resources functions. During her tenure at the YMCA, she also led the Rock Steady Boxing program, working closely with individuals fighting back against Parkinson’s disease, and instructed PlyoJam, a dance-based cardio class that fostered community engagement and wellness initiatives.

Kaitlin previously served on the board of Shape Up Steuben, a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting healthy lifestyles within the community. She is passionate about serving within the nonprofit sector and is excited to continue supporting meaningful work throughout Northeast Indiana. She looks forward to contributing to the Foundation’s mission and strengthening connections across the region.

Kaitlin and her husband, Ryan, enjoy spending time outdoors with their golden retriever, Annie. They are avid sports fans and also enjoy traveling whenever they have the opportunity.
