Loraine Hartranft
Loraine Hartranft grew up in DeKalb Co. and graduated from Auburn High School. She was employed at Cooper Industrial Products in Production Scheduling and also attended IPFW. After 22 years of employment, she moved to California and was employed at California Research Tabulations for 10 years as office administer, data entry supervisor. Upon leaving there, she joined Videocam Inc. for 15 years where she managed the finances and personnel which also included helping in sales, operations and logistics.
While in California, she served on many committees within the United Methodist Church – Conference treasurer for the United Methodist Women and Conference Finance building yearly budgets.
Upon retiring in 2014, she moved back to Auburn and continued to serve the community by volunteering at the DeKalb Hospital gift shop and the Curiosity Shop in Garrett. She is also a board member of the Friends of the Eckhart Public Library and enjoys Kenwigs, a literary group in town. In 2017 she joined the Community Engagement committee at the Community Foundation. That was her start to giving back to the community she always felt a part of. By creating the Kelso and Margaret Davis endowment fund, her family continues to support community endeavors.
